Project update of The LISTEN Project - April 2006

More than 200 children followed the LISTEN project, coordinated by Puspem Foundation. Puspem has published micro projects using MicroAid technology and the same project proposal was published on the GlobalGiving site. In September 2005, the LISTEN (Life Skills for Tsunami & Earthquake Neighbor) project has been funded by GlobalGiving’s donors. Today after six months the project is implemented, children and local teacher are still studying and teaching together in Bakoy refugee barrack.

Progress of Free Education in the Refugee Barrack

This project is meeting success in motivating students to study and to move on from the Tsunami. It is allowing kids to stay in the refugee area, as they don't have to travel outside for special state exam training anymore.
