Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Thailand is filled with social dilemma as a result of modernization and industrialization. Family break-ups cause abandonment and delinquency in children. With regards to children and youth, Prevention is better than Cure, so it is vital that preventive work be done to build their self-esteem and educate them in making right choices. “For 14 years, I have seen how this project has helped my clients via the training and increase in their self-esteem,” says veteran social-worker, Sopa Suwannawong.

Activities

By training 140 volunteers, they will impact 2,300 children and youths, and at the same time mould 250 young leaders. A volunteer, Uraiwan says, “Were it not for the trained young leaders, I would not be able to handle 200 young people all by myself”

Latest Update from the Field

Instilling a Sense of Responsibility

By Vena Lung - Coordinator, August 19, 2009 12:12 PM

While the world around demands for personal rights, individualism and caring for 'I-Me-Myself' only attitude, the Foundation strives to go against the grain to instill a sense of responsibility to the children and youths that what they do, will impact others, in both good and bad ways.

The attached update describes the activities done toward this end.

The Foundation wishes to thank all supporters for their altruistic giving and any feedbacks that would help us improve our services to the next generation.
