More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

In the first half of 2007 over 3000 people in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, fell ill with cholera and 74 people died of the lethal waterborne disease after drinking water from the Nile, the source of 80% of their water. Since that time, CHF International has been chlorinating water at seven key water pumping sites along the Nile, disinfecting 400-500 water trucks a day – enough safe water for 100,000 people. We need support to continue this crucial task.
