Personnel Overview
Nancy W. Hendrie, M.D. - President
Dr. Hendrie, a retired pediatrician, launched The Sharing Foundation in 1998 to help meet the physical, emotional, educational and medical needs of orphaned and seriously-disadvantaged children in Cambodia. She travels to Cambodia every three months to monitor TSF's projects, which serve 1,500 children daily, and provides daily oversight through email contact with the In-country Director.
Chan Kim Leng ("Elephant") - In-Country Director
Elephant, who oversees TSF's Cambodian staff and daily operations of 16 projects, began working for The Sharing Foundation in 2000 as Dr. Hendrie's driver. He rapidly earned expanded responsibilities, and from 2002-04 served as Deputy Director of TSF's Roteang Orphanage. Elephant grew up in a jungle town where there were no roads or electricity, and only a tiny outdoor school.
Dr. Em Sam Ney - TSF Medical Consultant
Dr. Em Sam Ney has provided daily medical services to the children at TSF's Roteang Orphanage since January 2004. He and Elephant will adminster the immunization project described here.
