17-year-old cancer survivor Aurean Donzell
Aurean has been helping HopeLab with the Re-Mission evaluation studies. He's been testing the game and giving us feedback about his thoughts, reactions, and experience of each level. We plan to take his feedback to inform our process of designing the next generation of this ground-breaking video game.

13-year-old cancer survivor Taylor Carol
Taylor was introduced to Re-Mission early in his Leukemia diagnosis two years ago. Taylor has worked with HopeLab, helping to spread the word about the video game Re-Mission.

Re-Mission screenshot: Fighting brain cancer cells
In Re-Mission, players pilot a nanobot named Roxxi as she travels through the bodies of fictional cancer patients destroying cancer cells, battling bacterial infections, and managing side effects associated with cancer and cancer treatment. In this screenshot, Roxxi gets shocked by nerve flares while fighting off brain cancer cells. She needs to destroy them all before being able get the patient to relax and move forward.

In Re-Mission, players pilot a nanobot named Roxxi as she travels through the bodies of fictional cancer patients destroying cancer cells, battling bacterial infections, and managing side effects associated with cancer and cancer treatment. In this level, Roxxi’s mission is to apply pain medication to all the mouth sores and eliminate the bacteria.

In Re-Mission, players pilot a nanobot named Roxxi as she travels through the bodies of fictional cancer patients destroying cancer cells, battling bacterial infections, and managing side effects associated with cancer and cancer treatment. In this level, Roxxi rides a vomit wave while alleviating mouth sores and activating taps that help patients to monitor their intake which in turn helps ease nausea.
