Direct Governor Election 2007 is the first opprotunity for Jakarta's people to vote for Governor. Until now, the Governor was always chosen by the Delegation’s Council of the People.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries
This program will educate the people on the right to vote for their leadership, will survey the track records of candidates for Governor, and will help implement the direct process of election as well as the installation of the Governor. The participants of this project are more than 45,000 people.

This project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.
