Mission

To help HIV/AIDS infected persons, orphans and grandmothers to live a full life with AIDS and openly become agents of change by breaking the six evils: Stigma, Silence, Discrimination, Denial, Inaction and Misaction. Through school fee support, clothing, medication for AIDS, sporting activities for youths we aim to transform our challenged community to break the silence, empower, and extend care programs to the poor, physically challenged and the needy.

Programs

•We support orphans in education (school fees, uniforms, food and shelter) and also we assist grandmothers by building traditional grainaries. •We also do sporting activities as a tool to address social issues within our communities. We also offer voluntary services like: Counseling, referrals, trainings, meetings, networking with partners, radio/TV talk shows and community outreaches. -Therapies and discussions.

Personnel Overview

Wycliffe Mboya - Team Leader
Wycliffe Mboya is the team leader of this project. He is a trained professional in the areas of health and gender issues including mainstreaming. He has a masters in public health from the Kenyan University of Nairobi. He is an accountant, counselor, nurse, and volunteer. He has been known for the his efforts in addressing women and children's rights, treatment and care, and support service.

Jemimah Achieng - Lead Volunteer
Jemimah Achieng is the Lead Volunteer. She has a diploma in community nursing and health and is also a trained secretary. She recently received a community award by the government of Kenya as a friend to the many suffering women. Jemimah is also our office Secretary. She also runs a small business selling eggs and vegetables to help the less fortunate women.

Simon Otieno Opiyo - Volunteer
Just received his diploma in Community Health; intern at SACRENA
