Women can win life
By Jemimah Achieng - Women Coodinator-SACRENA, July 29, 2009 10:17 AM
We have a community donated land already BUT we need friends to help us put up a women rescue Shelter “What SACRENA is doing to these women makes every traditional woman in Africa proud to get medicine alongside food and I want to be a member so that I start same for men “James Odero Village Elder who donated the3 hectors piece of land-Oyugis Village.
When we have activity to give subsidy through your support, many women numbering 200-1000 gather to get medications for opportunistic infections. Arrange of older grannies with problems from teeth, eye, mental, stomach and joints problems. So we need more medications and volunteers to and dedicated medical practisoners.
SACRENA took one woman-Rose Anyango to the Medical College to help after finishing the training to be a clinician based at the office so that we normally have two day in a week medical check-up for women. We need clinical equipments. Working closely with Kenyan Ministry of Healthe and other service provides at the district level and referrals.
Women projects in our community needs more support because if you treat a woman you treat the whole community. If a woman is happy the village is happy-Anonymous beneficiary who came for the services. We have challenges of low donor’s contribution and need for encouragement.
We have experience that once a woman is empowered she can reach the world, if given a chance she can change the world. We can wait to see women die of preventable illnesses. No! We will join and take the hand of a woman and feel with her.
Time is ending and with your contribution we Can and Yes we can make women succeed. Need of market for the beautiful hand made-African products, where to share there feelings and making friendship with fellow women a cross the globe, women foundations, volunteers and donors.
Communicate with us and lets us know what you thinks. Our email: sacrenakenya@yahoo.com.and more consider visiting us in Kenya. Welcome and thank you for your contributions and donations. We count on you. We love you. Greetings from women here.
