Mission

The mission is to help the children deprived of normal conditions of life and create a society free from child labor, exploitation and abandonment. As the development of these children is worthwhile when they become active participants and positive contributors to their communities, it is aimed to provide joyful and innovative education, health care, supplementary nutrition, recreation, counseling, vocational training, rehabilitation and repatriation services to these children.

Programs

Alternative education, health care, supplementary nutrition and vocational training for children, rescue and rehabilitation for women and children in crisis.

Mrs. Inderjit Khurana - Secretary
Initiated Ruchika Social Service Wing in 1985 with a single platform school. Registered as Organisation in 1998 it presently reaches out to over 4500 under privileged children and women with education, health, nutrition, shelter, vocational training and emergency services. Recipient of National Award for Welfare of Children and featured on PBS series USA as one of the 10 new heroes of the world.

Benudhar Senapati - Project Manager
Working for 17 years he has been managing and monitoring different projects in the organization. Looked after Helpline Project for last two years and Childline a similar project for children in distress for 6 years, Women/girls shelter for 2 years. He conducts training programs and has prepared an MIS. Has attended several trainings, seminars and conferences at national and international level.

Mr. Sangram Kesari Mallick - Project Coordinator
Male, Indian, born on 08.12.67, from Kendrapara, Orissa. Has over 12 years experience in working for slum people's development, group and situation management, administration, capacity building, educating and training on health, sanitation to target groups, delivering talks on radio. M.A. in History, English and Bachelor of Law, done course in Disaster Management and PG Dep. in Journalism & M.C.
